Hi my bank are changing systems so any really old accounts need to switch to the new system, I will have a new bank account number. the bank say they do everything and no need to inform pip as they do it . I get really anxious calling them and am already doing my pip reassessment since June(terrified) is it true the bank switch is enough or should I also call them as it's really making me anxious I didn't want anything to change but the bank forced it,and my account was due to close

Hi Fiona

I'm sorry but your question is outside the remit of this forum. I have no idea. You either trust the bank or you need to ring the DWP and tell them about the change. That is something you will have to decide for yourself.

Hi Fiona

Your question is outside the remit of the forum.

If you know your new bank account number and sort code, I would contact DWP and let them know your new details but .......... there is always a but

You need to be certain that your bank is changing your bank details as there are lots of scams around. If you are able to go in person to your bank check that what you have been told is correct. If you received a text message or a letter in the post to change bank details do be cautious, as they say do your due diligence.

If it is correct then contact DWP and let them know your new bank details.

Hi Gary, yes definitely not a scam had to have a id interview in the bank. I think will call dwp when all through. Not looking forward to it, but will worry myself sick, just scared it's like opening a can of worms. I appreciate all the help and advise

thanks Fi

Hi Fiona

Be safe, as there are unscrupulous people out there trying to rip off the elderly and disabled .
