ESA support group to UC migration & self employment was created by SAF
I am on ESA Support Group & going through UC migration. I am self-employed and currently only do 2-3 hours/month - I keep weekly notes and don’t have to put in self-assessment tax returns in anymore as earning are well under £1,000/year. I have been asked to attend a self-employment interview for 1hr - is this correct? Or can I put this information in my journal (which I already did initially) or can it be done over the phone?

Hi SAF

The automated system would not normally create an initial Self Employment Gateway interview for a claimant with LCWRA. I would send the Work Coach a Journal message stating that claimants in the Support Group/LCWRA should not be allocated that type of interview.
