Change in circumstances was created by krysuk
I sent back my pip review earlier in the year, but more recently in the last few weeks I've had a change of medication for all 3 of my health conditions/disabilities Right now I don't know how this will impact me as in all 3 cases I'm due for a review after the first 4 weeks. I'm assuming once my conditions become stable under the new medications that I then write to DWP about a change in circumstances and update them on the change in medications and how they affect me? Or should I wait until they actually get to my review itself as I have a folder of medical evidence I'm collecting post sending the review so that I can provide supporting evidence on any differences to when I sent it? Any advice appreciated as don't want to be accused of having failed to inform them

Hi Krysuk
It is a hard question to call and only you can make the decision.
I would see how you get on with the new medication, you say that you have a review in 4 weeks. I would wait until you have had your review to see if there are any adverse side effects.
If you still feel better and that your health is improving then contact DWP and report a change in circumstances and update them on the change in your medication and how they affect you.

Hi Gary
Thanks for this it's appreciated
While I can dream that I feel better with the change in medications one has been changed because the side effects I had were too extreme and where my last doctor thought compared to other side effect profiles he had seen over the years that vomiting for 8-12 hours and having extreme acid reflex for the whole period if I didn't line my stomach exactly right before and after taking them was something to shrug off.
He was a nice man that I got on with generally but having seen several doctors now since his retirement a few months back they suggested alternatives..
so far being able to take them with food or without (and on an empty stomach) has been refreshing, but am already dealing with other side effects..
Similarly the change in wakeful medication for my narcolepsy is no longer making my anxiety and depression worse, but the new medication is affecting me in many other ways.
Always the way.
I'll keep monitoring as I have to anyway to feedback to my doctors and then seeing how things are in a few weeks let DWP know if there is noticeable improvement or degradation of the impact on my day to day life and my needs are less or more or the same, the idea of having to go through all the descriptors again makes my head hurt, but I understand what they want to know.
It's probably more I need to tell them of any changes (less or more) I need as a result in the change of medication as the medication in itself isn't a change DWP want to know, they want to know if the change in medication has affected the circumstances of how my health conditions impact me, that's right isn't it?
Thanks again for the advice

Hi krysuk
You are correct, I would add what side effects you have with your current medication and how long your Dr wants you to stay on them before going on to another drug.
