Hello I am getting UC and new style esa and pip I am in the support group LCWRA.but the question I would like to ask is I’m not comfortable in giving the DWP my bank statements when and if I ask. But would like to know if I close my uc claim would I still be in the support group if I only claim my pip and new style esa.and how often do uc ask for your statements. Thank you very much fawndog.
Yes you could close your UC claim and then you would not need to provide any bank statements in the circumstances you describe. Hopefully you will not lose too much income. Remember UC is a passporting Benefit for prescriptions etc.
