ESA medical was created by Debs
Attended Esa medical yesterday and the Dr did not do the second part of the medical test...She said DWP would contact me to make appointment for it if necessary.I thought it was all done in one go. I'm thinking its either no, go and sign on ..or support group.Any thoughts?

Hi Debs

I had the same thing. I went for my ESA medical in Brighton and spent 40 minutes with the doctor, who luckily was very nice and seemed quite knowledgeable! He even told me that he was not going to do the physical examination part as I'd got enough points!!! So that was a relief.

I thought that was it - then I got another letter, the same as the first, so I rang DWP - complete waste of time as idiot I spoke to said, "no you've had your medical as far as we're concerned so this is an error by ATOS, ring them and let them know" - so I rang the appointments lot to let them know and they said "oh no, this is for part 2 of your medical!!!"
So I went along to that one month later and saw another doctor, a woman who wasn't very nice and kept trying to trick me. My husband was with me and he kept getting quite angry with her and what she was doing/saying! I don't think he helped and now I'm more worried about what's going to happen next.
She told me it may be a good idea to ask the RBLI - who I've had one appointment with so far (I found that very stressful for me) if they could arrange for me to see a psycharitist (excuse spelling!) I asked if that would help me then with what I've got etc and she said I don't know but you may as well try it?!!!
I was very unimpressed! She just seemed determined to get me back to work ASAP whether I was ready and able or not.
So I'm now waiting to hear what's going to happen next.
