have just had word that failed medical. 2points given .will appeal. medical was ajoke. can anyone advice. gave doctor 2 letters from family one stating what they do daily for me the other from my son. doctor said he would read them later along with the letter given a the end. however at the end he said he still had work to do but did not need us there me and my daughter. so we could go.requested doctors copy. The letter states the decsion was made by the form I completed and the doctors report. medical reports and other information is blank. I think they have messed up. This is before looking at the point that I think I should have been given.

At my medical I took copy's of all my appointments and letters, the Dr. could tell they were copies as where the NHS has a blue background on the original the copy's had a black background Plus my daughter told the Dr. she could keep hold of them as they were only copies.
So I guess my advice would be
1. TAKE COPY'S OF LETTERS & APPOINTMENTS (NOT ORIGINALS)
2. TELL THE HCP THEY CAN KEEP THEM AS IT IS ONLY A COPY WHEN THEY OFFER IT BACK
3. IF THEY SAY THEY WILL READ IT LATER OFFERING IT BACK TO YOU DO NOT TAKE IT BACK, LET THEM KEEP HOLD OF IT.
4. IF THE HCP REFUSES TO TAKE HOLD OF THE COPY'S LEAVE THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TABLE, WITHIN REACH OF THE HCP.

Hi James
If they have not taken the evidence you gave into consideration it will have to be considered on appeal.
I would suggest you make an appointment to see a welfare rights advisor as soon as possible, as they are quite busy and you only have one month to send in your appeal. And make sure you call the number on the letter you were sent to ask for a copy of your medical report, the medical form you filled in (if you don't already have a copy), and your previous medical report.
Your previous medical report can be useful on appeal but you have to obtain it yourself. The DWP are not very good at finding documents.
Good luck with the appeal.
