Renewal Claim was created by Dardo
Hi - I have been reading the forum for sometime as a member and have found it to be very supportive and informative. I sent in my renewal claim albeit 2 months late (Due back - 5 January 2011) but forgot to get my Doctor to write a supporting note on the 'Someone who knows me' section. My Doctor has said he will support my claim. Therefore, should I notify him of the situation and asked him to write me a supporting letter.
I can supply him with a copy of the completed renewal claim and a supporting letter from my brother who cares for me.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Regards
Dardo

The more relevant evidence that you can provide with your claim the better, so I think you should contact your GP. You will need to be quick to avoid a Decision being made before the DWP have received it.

Hi
As per the previous reply, just get as much supporting evidence as you can and send it in to them.
After sending in my form,my treatment was changed including significent changes to my medication so I wrote a letter explaining this (and as I didn't have any evidence to send at the time, gave them the contact details of one of my care team) and sent this off.
It seems to have worked, as I have had my benefits renewed (although of course I don't knwo what the outcome would have been if I hadn't sent it).
The best of luck,
Lu
