Medical evidence was created by M.W.Greenslade
I am getting an ESA 50 very six months,So i have to get all my medical evidence every six months. I have to pay my doctor £25 per letter and 50p per page for medical history plus £1.60 for recorded delivery. Can i claim this back from Atos or DWP ?. If the DWP or Atos asked for this evidence from my doctor they would have to pay him surely

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Unfortunately the DWP do not pay the doctors for their reports as it is a statutory requirement that they supply them, so I am afraid there is no way for you to re-coup your costs from the system.

Once you have your medical records copied you only have to pay the dr for newer items unless there has been much change I would not bother getting a new £25 letter from the dr each time I would use the same letter IMO
every six months might mean they think your soon going to get better if this is not the case get your dr to say so in a letter (that would be worth £25) and give them a copy .. might help cut down on forms
