Hi

Just a queary,as before I found this site,I was in the dark about everything concerning the changes to IB and DLA!
If you fail the medical with ATOS for IB,does your benefit stop,or part of your benefit, whilst waiting for your appeal? Could somebody please clarify this for me,if possible. Thanks in advance :)

You would be eligible to receive the ESA Assessment rate while waiting for your appeal to be heard.

If you lose there is no re-payment required and if you win the difference to what you should have paid will be backdated to the date of the decision.

Yes, you will need to supply Fit notes while you are waiting for your hearing.

No, you do not need to re-pay the money. The ESA Assessment rate is the same as what someone would receive on Job Seekers Allowance.

Fit notes replaced sick notes. Your GP supplies them as before for free.
