Hi Lisa,

Firs and foremost I would like to tell you that I am really shocked of the behaviour of some people. I really feel your frustration.

Now, First thing is getting in touch with your surgery. Every fax send will issue a 'receipt' on which is the Time date of the fax and the number it was send to.
This will prove that the fax have been send (copies of this should be in your husbands medical notes in the surgery).

Next, get yourself a voice recorder (available from eBay cheap) and you can get a cable that connects to the recorder and the phone and will record what is said on both sites (cost are no more then £20 - £25 for everything).

Now record every call but ask them always first if THEY record the conversation (if they don't tell you automatically).
Here comes the important part, as soon as they say they record for whatever tell them 'AND SO DO I'. Try to place this right at the end to whatever they say, maybe even talking over them a bit. With the 'And so do I' part from your site on the question of recording the calls you have informed them that you are recording this conversation and therefore can be used in a tribunal/appeal as you have informed them with those words that you record as well (I had a tribunal before and my solicitor used my recordings and the judge allowed it as I informed them that I too record this call!).

With a bit more prove then in your hands you should be able to get somewhere.
CAB can here be very helpful, in particular if you have recordings and the fax receipts.
But remember that the recordings MUST be unedited in any way or they are not valid at all.

Hope that helps a bit.

May I ask what your MP suggests? Have you informed them? If not then do so without delay and insist they take up your case, that's their job, it's what they're paid for.
