atos phone harrassment re medical

Utterly disgusting treatment Lisa, i feel such helpless rage for you both, and for all victims of Atos.

I am not sure the tabloids are the best bet here, definitely The Guardian and perhaps the Socialist Worker.

The real tragedy is that people are only being made aware of these injustices, when it happens to them or their extended family.

Hi All - especially Andy re update request

Ok this is what happened.
dla awarded, but told this is a different dept to atos, therefore they canot transfer what info they have to atos.

why did we request the dla/dwp info get sent to atos- cos they keep saying they have no proof, even though 2 gp's have replied in writing and phoned a supervisor to confirm medical case etc.

also a tribunal was done without our knowledge and a letter was sent out saying appeal disallowed.we wrote back saying it had to be 'set asside' as our representative should have been told of the hearing so they could attned etc etc. called them today and they said they will be in touch in 2 months, but also said still no proof of illness etc etc.the file sent to atos was the same file of approx 100 or more gp/hospital letters, prescriptions etc sent to dla/dwp who were ok with it.

atos said they may do a home visit, but now we have done this 'set asside' stuff and they did a tribunal without consent only to send a letter out saying 'closed & appeak disallowed' we think we are going to get the 'caseclosed' response anyway - they are sayimg they have no proof every time phoning or writing to them.

gp surgery has said they (2 doctors)have faxed letters and atos forms to atos with all the info,and also called a supervisor, still atos say they have nothing.

have asked to see what they have, and they have refused, so we cannot pprove them making this up, they refuse to send anything out, and also deny having their form of a representative must be present at tribunal. we sent this form special delivery to prove delivery - still they deny having it, saying itmay have gotten to the atos building but it appears it must have been lost from arrival. this is also the excuse re gp letters sent to atos.

can we insist in any legal manner/quote a legislation that atos have to send up copies of what is in the file ? surely we have to have this to give to the representative who will be going to the tibunal as and when it happens properly and not in an underhand manner that was done without our knowlwdge - no date or even a letter saying it was happening, they just did it, marked the appeal as - person did not attend - then sent a letter saying 'closed appeal disallowed'
