Recently my renewal claim for DLA was refused. After logging onto your website for advice i placed a claim.
Yesterday i received a stack of information informing me that it is the appeal submission and that the tribunals service will contact me.
Can you tell me what this means and what the next step will be for me?
Does this mean i will have to appear in court for the appeal?
I was looking for a document to download on the wholse process but could not find one
MAny Thanks

people better placed will be along to advise, but think about why you got it in the frist place how long the award was for and what might have happened since then, for example could the original claim in many cases be expected to be better by now ? if so did you give the right evidance that shows why in your case your still needing help... did you really give them all the evidance this time ? because if you got it before and are not better have you missed something ? ..did you this time have the shorter form where by default you can end up not telling them all they need to know ... theres a start to think about.. others will be along to help too

The stack of papers you have received should include everything that you have sent to the DWP as part of your claim and all of the internal documents that they have created as a result including the details of any medical you had. Some advice needed.

The next thing you will receive is from the Tribunal Service, and will be pamphlet and a form to return within 14 days.
This and other details of the appeal process are explained in the Appealing Against A Disability Living Allowance Decision guide in the members area.
Please have a read of this and if you have more questions come back to the forum.
You should also consideer getting face to face from the CAB of Welfare Rights who can help you create an appeal submission and organise your evidence.
