Big Day Tomorrow.... was created by Tracy A
Tomorrow is the day for my partners DLA and ESA appeals.
I'm getting nervous now, but my partner is quite calm.
I just hope it goes well as if not I really will despair his helath is worsening all the time, he almost collapsed yesterday getting out of the shower, he had to use his angina spray and it took a few minutes for the angina pain to ease, this is an every day occurance, everything is getting to much for him he hasn't left the flat now for 2 months apart from hospital visits on average once or twice a month he is now under 4 hospitals for his health conditions.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us as these days no matter how sick you are nothing is set in stone.....
I'll report back tomorrow eveing on the outcome of both appeals.

Thank you to the mods who have really been helpful to us both.

Tracy.

Hi Tracy

I am so pleased that your husband is calm about the tribunal this will really help him a lot tomorrow. I will be thinking about you and wish you all the luck in the world. The tribunals that i have been to were nowhere near as bad as i expected, the panel although they have a job to do were patient, kind and generally very understanding. My experiences both had a favourable outcome and i really hope yours do aswell. Just tell them everything and how it affects your life, make short notes before you go just so you don't forget anything. My experience was not rushed by the panel and they allowed me to explain in full without stopping me even if what i was saying seemed irrelevant. I did think about it afterwards and i know at times i was struggling to hold it all together and burst into tears at times, but at no time did i feel under pressure to keep quiet or made to feel as though i was waffling. I was fortunate to have a kind and understanding panel at both of my tribunals.

My thoughts are with you for tomorrow and Susan on wednesday. Wishing you both all the very best. Hey Susan it is possible that they call you on the morning and tell you that you don't need to attend!!! They did that to me for my ESA tribunal a week before i was due to go and placed me into the support group!!! I was only awarded 9 points at my atos medical, stranger things have happened lol!!!

Big hugs to you both

Thanks all for your kind support and good luck messages.
I will post tomorrow when we get back, first appeal is scheduled for 3.20 and second for 4pm...Cant work out why they don't do both together, maybe it's so they can try and catch people out and trip them up in the second appeal.
Hopefully from what we have learnt from this website they will see that my partner is an honest person who has worked all his life until his third heart attack and onset of angina..... :-)
