Thanks so much. As you probably know I am going to attend the first interview/meeting in one hours time at my JCP/BDC - goodness, they do like to confuse...shame on them.
I will ask for the GL24, ESA85 and the ESA65. Good use of my time there. Car is arranged and driver to help me in and out.
You have really helped me.
Kindest regards,
cmarie

I attended the first meeting required of me for WRAG. I immediately told the woman at JCP that I was seriously considering an appeal.
She told me that there was lots of funding to help get me and others like me back to work and that would be the focus of our next meeting. After this statement my decision to appeal was made. I will submit an appeal.
We made a second appointment and I asked her for the GL24 and for copies of my ESA85 and 65. She nodded and then moved to get the documents but ended up behind a pillar discussing my request with a colleague/manager??. My hearing is not impaired, despite tinnitus.
She came back 5 minutes later with the GL24 and then queried why I wanted ESA65/85. I did not answer but said I understand it is my right to have both of the documents. She showed me a blank ESA85 on her screen. I realised she thought I wanted a blank. I said again that i would please like to have copies of the reports that pertain to me. Now, she said they DO NOT HAVE THEM AT THE LOCAL JCP.
As I was in fair amount of pain and I had already called for the ESA85 by phone, I told her i would pursue this another way and thanked her for the GL24 and took the letter regarding my next appointment and left; car and driver waiting for me outside.
Once home I found mail waiting for me and found that the ESA85 had arrived (yay) and in ONE DAY'S TIME. Wow!
Please forgive me for asking what should be obvious, but nothing really is, is it?? Do I now call again to JCP for the ESA65 and have them transfer me again to Glasgow?? (the return address on the envelope was BELFAST) to get the ESA65??
AND YES I WILL SEND THE GL24 in post haste!!
Thank you Bro58, Derek, Andy, Lisa, Gordon, CityMike and everyone who has kindly take time to advise and encourage.
kindest regards,
cmarie

I've merged your post; please post to the same thread when continuing a discussion.
The ESA65 (statement of reasons) doesn't contain a great deal of information other than what points you scored and what evidence the DM looked at, but if you want a copy you will need to phone the same number that you got the ESA85 from. I believe they are sent automatically to people found fit for work; perhaps they assume that claimants placed in the WRAG will be content and not require it?
I'm pleased you managed to get your ESA85 so quickly.
Regards
Derek

Okay, thanks, I'll be sure to do that next time.
Getting the ESA85 over night was impressive. Reading the medical was a revelation. So much was overlooked and the report seemed to have an irrational "sunny" tone to it.
Another thing that I found out at this meeting today, is that I am expected to go through this again (!!!) this coming October; four months "prognosis". Thank you Bro58 for calling my attention to this (disturbing) detail.
Many thanks,
cmarie

I now await the DlA decision as the tribunal was running late they will post this out. I had great supporting letters from my GP and the chronic pain clinic so hopefully this time I will be successful.

All ESA85's have a sunny tone to make the claimant feel better about themselves, but there are usually a few trademark jokes. Such as 'can concentrate to get dressed' or 'likes to socialise when alone'.Hello Derek,
Okay, thanks, I'll be sure to do that next time.
