I have downloaded the ESA50 and have been filling it in over the past 4 weeks. In the ESA50 No. 5 Manual dexterity I have said that using a keyboard and or mouse repeatedly would cause me problems and explained why. By posting a typed version of the ESA50 to ATOS, would this go against that discriptor. I have explained that I have filled this in over the past 4 weeks. Should I send in a written version instead. Sure you can help thanks.
Hi V,
If you are struggling with the typing aspect, due to your problems, have you a family member, close friend or carer, that can do the typing for you?.
If you have, then you can fill in the box on the ESA50, stating that the other person has typed it for you, and why, due to your limitations.
Unfortunately if you state that you have dexterity problems as mentioned, and then go on to type up the form yourself, it is quite possible that ATOS could use this against you.
Bare this in mind !.
cheers

I do not believe you would be in any better situation by writing your ESA50.Cannot use a pen or pencil to make a
meaningful mark. 9 points

So, if you can only type 10 minutes at a time - SAY SO.
If you had someone else write/type it for you - SAY SO.
The same goes for whatever difficulties are caused by your medical condition, be it anxiety or arthritis. Get you explanation in first.
ATOS and DWP have a tendency to make assumptions biased against the claimant, so SPELL OUT THE REAL SITUATION whenever there's a risk of that being done to you.

I would definitely recommend including information in your ESA50 to explain how you managed to fill it in.
