Hi Tracy
Was going to post similar link to Bro's! I hope your WRO can help you about taking your backdated payments into account, as I couldn't find anything. I believe there's limits to the amounts the DWP can take after considering your circumstances and "if you cannot make the repayments at the rate originally agreed the DWP may be able to help, for example by extending the repayment period to reduce your payments"
Regards
Michael

I would reiterate that in accordance with the previous post if the repayment is likely to cause hardship, it is possible to negotiate the rate of repayment with the DWP.
Does Any Of The Mods Or Posters know if the DWP are allowed to take back dated payments owed to recover money for crisis loans taken out over last couple of years?
Partner has been paying back weekly instalments, but ESA say that when his case has been sorted they are keeping the back pay for money he has already had in loans.
We have debts we need to pay that have mounted up over last year.
Totally fed up
Tracy.

I have found that back payments have been paid in full. Repayments are taken out at an agreed rate.
