Fantastic supporting letter from GP, but .........

I collected the supporting letter from my GP on Monday which is incredibly supportive. But the spelling & grammar are really dire (far worse then mine). I had a couple of corrections made, but it's still very poorly written and I don't think going back to the practice a second time would enhance my relationship with the surgery
Is this something the DM and Tribunal members are used to, or would it be viewed suspiciously? (has as happened to me in the past)

I think that they're probably used to it sadly. I detest bad spelling, and it usually jumps off the page (or screen!) I do make mistakes however, but that is due to 'fibro fog'!

I would also say that the fault is probably the typist's spelling, as most GPs use a dictaphone to dictate letters for their secretary.

Don't hesitate to point it out to the GP if it was secretary typed. He or she won;t take it personally, and probably would prefer to furnish a correctly spelled version as it reflects better on them as a professional. Obviously where its one single insignificant or common error then I woiuldn't bother, but if its several,. get it sorted out

Could you not explain to the secretary how to use the spelling and grammar checker?

It only requires pressing one button!

But as long as it is printed on headed letter paper I wouldn't expect it to raise any suspicions.

I would be very worried if there was no spelling mistakes or the grammer was correct where is your GP from ? as the name at the bottom will tell the dm all they need to know
