Best wishes,

regardless of who gives it be it Atos Dr HCP or your own Dr all a Prognosis is .... is a good guess based on how good the Dr is without knowing how your going to recover compared to best guess.
In some cases its the most important thing a dr can tell you.
Of course regardless of who they work for be it atos or your local GP ask them and you have a much chance of him giving you the six numbers for saturdays lottery its a game thats been played since people started being drs
so in answer to your question yes... but it will never be right
Now come on Dave !!
You can not say never, some people do win the Lottery!! LOL.
cheers

I have had 5 numbers twice last time in Feb £818 which was a PIG because its often over 2k
Similar thing here Dave, 5 numbers, £750, they reckon that if you use birthdays, that there will be more winners, lower payout.
Anyway, back to prognosis, you know we can't start chit-chatting.
cheers

ok after best guess the info thats used to make a prognosis is "text box" so people will see on forms from atos 3 months 6 months or some number they know from the fact they know there body better than anyone is just plain daft .... now whats important IMO no expert ect ect but when people have esa and dla forms they have to explain and show why they are different from mr or mrs average text book

I'm not usually this dim!
Ah....is it because the HCP doesn't award the points but the DM?
ie; even if the HCP says back to work in 6 months but you don't get awarded 15 points by the DM....it's nul and void?
Yes?

Yes Dave,
As a member posted recently, make the form fit your limitation, rather than your limitations fitting the form.
Most apt !!

The prognosis is a recommendation and has no legal standing with regard to whether or not you should receive the benefit in question.I have read and re-read this post and to be honest, I still don't get it!

Yes?
ESA is all about scoring more than 15 points or meeting one or more of the Support Group criteria. If you don't, then you don't get any payments.

Rachel,
I have read the thread also, and I don't really feel that there is much that I could add to enlighten you further.
