ATOS DLA medical report advice was created by Haggis
Hi everyone,
Apologies to the mods for my previous post, being new to the site i didn't read the forum rules!
I've just had an ATOS medical report for my DLA reinstatement claim which i consider to be inaccurate.I'm now very concerned that i'll be knocked back at my DLA tribunal because of this report, will i be able to challenge the contents of this report at my tribunal & can i complain to ATOS about the content of the medical report?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Mark.

Yes it is possible to make a complaint to Atos about the content of the report.
You can challenge the accuracy of the report at tribunal and can also submit evidence that the Atos assessor may not have had when carrying out their assessment.

Hi Mark,
Yes, you can use other medical evidence to try and discredit the ATOS report, and this will surely help with your appeal.
However the important issue is to pursuade the Tribunal, that your needs and limitations qualify you for an award of DLA.
With regards to ATOS, yes you can complain to them re : the validity of their report, keep this as a seperate issue to your appeal.
There is information on making a complaint to ATOS, in the orange "MEMBERS ONLY" are on the left.
See also below, a link to the ATOS website, which contains details of making a complaint.
