I am currently on DLA indefinately. As I am now over 60 will the forthcoming proposed changes affect me?
Yes possibly.
It is people of working age (16 to 64) who will be converted to PIP firstly.
Obviously from your post, we have no idea just how old 'now over 60' means as you maybe 64 bordering on 65 next week in which case it won't affect you.

With Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, my spine crumbling and mild Schizophrena, without DLA/PIP I would'nt be able to pay for my care . Being disabled is not cheap!

It's not clear at this time, what the Government plan to do with people receiving DLA who have, or will have reached, State Retirement Age when PIP is introduced.Would this apply to a woman who recieved her state pension at 60, as I did?

The only statement they have made is that adults under SRA, will be transferred.
Sorry

Thank you Gordon. It's just that I read that children and pensioners won't be affected - but I guess we will have to see...........

I hope that this is the case, but I fear it is people assuming because it hasn't been mentioned then it won't happen, but the reality it is, it just hasn't been discussedThank you Gordon.
