I was advised to take my medical evidence with me to the medical when I spoke to a member of the ATOS team after I got my specialist's report late after my form had been sent in.
I have had the same advice as well. I received a 3 week extension to submit my ESA50 form but actually received the medical assessment appointment soon after.
The man I spoke to at Atos said that if I sent my form and support letters to the Atos Wembley office as required, and then attended the medical assessment in Croydon, there was a good chance that the papers wouldn't be seen by the Atos doctor in Croydon in time anyway.
I was told to take it with me on the day as well, which I am going to do.
I hope it doesn't harm my case in any way. Atos had already decided that I needed to attend a medical - though I don't know why.
