DLA/bus pass/companion ticket was created by mumsgirl
My support worker has advised me to apply for DLA, which I will do (whether I suceed or not is a different matter!).
I am aware of a neighbour who gets DLA who gets a bus pass and a companion ticket too.
Could someone please tell me who is entitled to these passes, where you apply for them and do they cost? thanks

Hi in regards to bus pass, if you live in London or the boroughs you can use the bus before 9.30 not the trains though. It depends where you live, your nearest town hall/civic centre should have them, then you need to submit evidence of your condition with the application and get the doctor to sign and stamp form, and get a care co ordinator again if your gp to sign again and stamp. two passport photos of yourself, letters from your doctor about your illness and even a copy of your meeication prescription. If you cannot drive a lot of places like a letter from your doctor saying that your illness unables you to drive. As for DLA good luck, give as much information as you can, a copy of your care plan if you have one, prescription evedience etc. make sure you copy all your forms, I wish you lots of luck with both hope it goes well for you, Best Paula
