Although I felt I was still not fit to work I was concerned the benefits agency would not.
I found the whole process so stressful which made me worse!
I had lots of help from the Independent Living Centre.
Luckily for me I have been moved onto ESA and continue to receive the same money as before. A man from the benefits agency rang me up to tell me. Mind you he did tell me I might have to go through the whole process again in a year.
Completely crazy as my condition has not changed in 20 years! In fact 2 aspects have got worse.
I haven't received a letter saying how many points I was given or about the decision.
Even when I asked for a letter they just sent one saying my money would stay the same.
I didn't get DLA. I wasn't surprised as I need help some of the time and not at other times. So I didn't appeal. Maybe I should have but as I wasn't getting it and found that process just as stressful.
Congratulations on being syccessfully transferred.
You need to specifically request the medical reports and statement of reasons. Ask for an ESA65 and an ESA85 if your had a medical and an ESA85A if you didn't.
