Filling out ESA form by yourself was created by charlie1962
I have just received the dreaded ESA form and i wondered is there anybody who can give me advice on whether it's a good or bad idea to fill out the form myself.Could i be penalised in any way when they take a look at the form and see i've filled it in myself.

Hi Charlie, I don't think filling out the form yourself will go against you unless it is contradictory;

ie; if you stated you could not type or hold a pen.

You can explain that it took you a long time because of...

Best wishes,

Hi Charlie

Welcome to B&W. You will find the guides to completing an ESA form in the Members Only orange section link here -

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa

Please take a look and let us know if you have any general questions.

Kind regards

Michael

Hi Charlie

The B&W guides are provided for members in order to assist them with their claim forms, this is why I gave you the link to the guides.

I'm not able to speculate on whether filling it in yourself could be detrimental. If you have a link to the article you read, please feel free to provide it.

Regards

Michael
