Hi Radhika When I was awarded DLA HRC the office dealing with my incapacity benefit told me that I would continue to get incapacity benefit until my current DLA expired but when I asked the Benefit Enquiry Line they said there was no such policy. I'm just about to send off my DLA renewal. I do not have an end date for incapacity benefit so I am wondering if my incapacity benefit will stop on the date my current DLA expires (February 2012). It's a bit of a dilema! If I ring to ask it could start the ESA migration process but if I don't my incap may stop. I think before I do anything I will see what award DLA comes back as.
