Hi bg42,
Well done on being placed into The SG without a "medical".
Thanks for your kind comments, and for letting us know.
If you were transferred over to ESA from another benefit this FAQ should provide an answer :
What will I be transferred to?
If this was a new ESA claim then it would depend on whether you had the necessary NI Contributions gained from employment, prior to your claim.
The DLA income is not counted, however, looking at your husband's income it is highly unlikely that you would be payed anything other than CB ESA.
As you have been placed into The SG, there is no 365 day limit for payment of ESA, for as long as you the remain in The SG, see :
12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)
If you wish to know the expected length of your SG award before you are reassessed,(The prognisis) then you can request a copy of your ESA85A Medical Report, by ringing the Benefits Office on any ESA letters that you may have. We recommend that you back up any verbal request in writing.
See :
ESA Forms
ESA medical – what forms to ask for?
How often will I be reviewed
There should also be an LT54, there may be an : ESA 113 Questionnaire if one was sent to your G.P. and there could be an :
ESA72 Form .
Besides the above telling you how long your prognosis is, it should also tell you how and why you were placed into The SG, which should help, when your time for reassessment comes.
