Highlighter Pen

I am intending to send off my ESA form today and am just reading through it again to make sure it is all okay.
My question is, is it okay to use a highlighter pen on the form and on any additional sheets of information to show up particular points or phrases that are of special importance or significance or could this look pushy.
Has anyone else done this and if the form is photocopied by the DWP obviously the highlighted bits wouldn't show up anyway. So would I be wasting my time. Sorry if this is a silly question but I wanted to know if it was advisable or not. I got in last time and I have an almost superstitious dread of rocking the boat and changing what I did last time. Thanks.

I do not think that there is anything wrong with the idea, but I would do a test first, some papers re-act with the markers and it shows through on the reverse, also use a pale colour, ideally yellow, as some colours can actually prevent the wording underneath from being photo copied.
