Award without medical...

Thanks to your comprehensive notes regarding how to fill in the DLA Claim form, my wife was awarded Higher rate mobility allowance and care allowance for a period of 2 years recently.
Although it is a painstaking task, particularly gathering together relevant backup information, by following the guide she received the award without a medical or interview other than a few questions over the phone from an assessor.
Eventually she will have an operation that should help her mobility, but the award has meant she can now afford physiotherapy and access to other therapies that will, short term, assist her in mainyaining some form of normal life until replacement joint surgery can be performed.
