Hi, I've been sent esa50 form for a 2nd time. I currently get pip and esa, have for 3yrs. Already been reassesed for pip. Thankufully get award for 5yrs. Now esa due again! Worried sick abour filling form out. My condition of cronic spondylitis of spine, shoulder arthritis, also of hips. Plater fasia of foot, tendinitis of wrist and now elbow! Not to mention ibs. Condition got worse. When stating this on form would i still b sent for a medical? Which I'm dreading. Form has to be in by 27th sep. Thinking of asking doc 2 write a letter supporting my Condition . Even though I've been in support group, dwp forgot to mention that I don't need to send in certifidates! Which I have done for three yrs! Surely that has to go in my favour. Any advice much appricated. Thanku.

A letter from your GP may be helpful but only if it addresses the ESA Descriptors that placed you in the SG the last time.

I'm afraid your sending the Fit Notes will not be of any value in this reassessment, at best they testify to your being in the WRAG, but in reality they won't have addressed the ESA criteria in the first place, so won't be usable evidence.

The more information you provide regarding how and why you meet the ESA descriptors, the better the chance of having a paper based review. However, I'm afraid this is entirely at the discretion of the assessor and there are no guarantees.
