ESA REFUSED 7 months 2 weeks ago #170284

A friends ESA has been stopped after her last medical she will now have to go onto JSA if ESA is still refused after the mandatory reconsideration, we will then go for an appeal, am I right in thinking that when an appeal is made she can go back on ESA at base rate. Also how does the work placed JSA interview go what can she expect and will I be able to go to the interview with her? Thanks for any help

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Yes, once their appeal has been accepted by the Tribunal Service and the DWP have received notice of this then they can request to have the ESA Assessment rate paid while they wait for a hearing.

As to the JSA, once their claim has been accepted by JC+ then they can present a new Fit Note and be excused from any Hob Seeking for up to 13 weeks,
