PIP & RESTRICTED NI NUMBER was created by FS Leslie
Hi Everyone this is my first ever post in the form.

I need some advice & I don't know where to go or even start.

I am a holder of Lasting Power of Attorney for my wife as she has various comorbidities & a personality disorder; she also has a Restricted Access National Insurance Number. This means that only Senior DWP Staff Members can access her records. It can take a few days before someone rings back once the records have been unlocked.

She has an award of DLA which runs out in June 2017 next year. From what I have read, PIP can only be claimed over the phone, is there an address I can write to or can you make an on-line application?

Any advice would be really helpful.

Invitations to claim PIP for claimants with fixed term DLA awards are usually sent out 20 weeks in advance of the claim ending.

You can make the initial claim in writing but you need to manage the process closely as the DWP are often reticent to provide the required form on paper and members who have made a request for it have all had problems.

You need to write to

The address is correct at the time of writing, see
