Work focused interview after winning tribunal

Hi. Well great news. I won my Tribunal. What a load of anxiety and stress. I attended my first tribunal only to be told I didn't have enough evidence therefore they would recommend call me after they have written to my GP for further evidence. My GP sent them all my history dating back to when I was born. That should be enough lol. I attended the 2nd tribunal and won. Woop woop. I was interrogated and prodded but we got their in three end. I also recieved my backdated money after 6wks, which seems to be good but I was on £116 pw as I am also on DLA so got the extra. I feel they have forgotten this as the backdated amount doesn't seem to be enough. Should the disability elliment also be included in backdated amount if I used to get it before my appeal. I have also recieved a letter the same day as I recieved my backdated amount saying I need to attend an interview called ....helping you prepare for work in the future...with a work coach? It says they will talk about the activities and steps i can take to get back to work in the future. It's about helping me return to work when I'm able and what they do to help. I don't understand why I have received this as i won my appeal for support group. It says if I don't attend I may get my money reduced. Is this norm? The judge said I won't have to attend another medical for two years. Please advise. Debbie

Congratulations on the Tribunal win. Well done.

Re the money. I can't see any immediate reason why you are not receiving any Premiums that you used to receive now, all I can suggest at this stage is that you contact the DWP about it.

At the least you should be receiving the Enhanced Disability Premium for being in the Support Group, providing that you are eligible for ESA(IR), which I assume that you are.

As to the appointment. If this is a Work Focussed Interview then you definitely do not need to attend as you are now in the SG, for any other appointment see the following

Hi Gordon. I phoned up today to see why I wasn't getting any premiums as I was on £116 pw when on esa in support group. They informed me I have been placed in wrag group not support group. Can't believe it. Nobody told me. Does this mean I won't get the disability premium as I am on DLA and have a mortgage and single. Do you know how many work focused interviews I will need to attend now. I'm shocked as they didn't tel me at the tribunal and not had any communication from jc. I suppose it's still a victory as I failed the initial medical so at least I've won a Sall Victoryou but worried that all the anxiety was for knothing if I have to be attending lots of work focused interviews. The judge said I wouldn't be called for a medical for two years please advise. Thanks you. Debbie

If you are in the WRAG then the Enhanced Disability Premium would only be payable if you receive DLA Higher Rate Care. Any other premiums would still be payable providing your circumstances have not changed.

I'm afraid it is up to your JC+ advisor to decide what level of activity you need to perform as part of your WRAG placement, they do need to consider your limitations when they ask to attend a WFI or to participate in Work Related Activity. You do need to be aware that failing to participate can lead to your benefit being sanctioned.
