Thank you Gordon.
Oh, i think we are in trouble! The 8-th of may in a few days but mom is in panic and really scared to make that call, she's got all sorts of phobias including strangers and she is scared that she'll be unable to talk, (she never answers the phone )
Can i call on her behalf? But i am not really sure how to answer these questions and afraid to spoil everything! Please help!
Do i need to give all diagnoses and explain how all affects my mother and what medications she takes? How to answer all of these?
• a mental health condition;
WHAT MEANS- a behavioural condition;
AND a learning difficulty;
AND a developmental disorder; or
• a memory problem.

You can phone on her behalf but she will need to be with you to answer the security questions and authorise the DWP to speak to you.

There is a list of the questions that you will be asked in the PIP Claim guide, you will be asked about her conditions but will not need to go into depth about them.

Hello everyone,
We have finally had phone claime, wasn't asked much about health...
Anyway, today we received a letter from PIP asking to confirm nationality??? Why? We are not a new claimers, we are moving from DLA to PIP and are british?!
Have anyone had this happened to them?
In the letter they are asking to provide a passport, do we really need to send a passport, or can we send a copy?
Soooo confused! this is a first time we were asked to prove nationality! Any advise would be highly appreciated.

We've seen the letter a couple of time but no more than that.

Check with the DWP whether a copy will be acceptable, if not would a certified copy be sufficient, this is where a solicitor confirms the copy (there will be a charge).

Failing that you will have to send the passport, make sure you use a tracked post for this.

Hi everyone, the letter /appointment for face to face assessment just arrived today on 22.09.17 , the appointment arranged for on the 27th of September which is less than 5 days away, can we ask to make another appointment as this one is on extremely short notice?
I have read somewhere that letter should give claimants full 7 days before the appointment date, is this correct?
Also, the face to face is with ATOS, at Marlborough Hill Harrow, anyone know how bad/god are they there?
Thank you.

We will also appreciate an information on recording the assessment, everything that we need to do and know.
Thank you.
