PIP letter. Transfer from DLA to PIP was created by Wheelynice
Hi. I have had the letter to ring to make a claim for PIP. The date says ring by October 3rd. How long do you get to complete the form, once they send it out to you and am I right in thinking that you can ask for an extension of 1 month. I am in the process of gathering evidence and obtainin advice. The waiting time for the advice is 8 weeks!
Is there an online form for pip yet? If not, can I complete on my computer and attach it to the form as this is the only way I can do it.
I am going away with relatives for 2 weeks, so if I let them know can they delay
the decision until I get back, in case there is an issue with it?
Thank you for your assistance

You will have four weeks to complete the PIP2, however, this includes postage time so it will actually be less.

You can request a two week extension to complete the form, a second two week period may be available but it will require a Decision Makers approval.

There is no electronic version of the PIP2, but you can complete the bulk of your answers on separate sheets and attach them to the form.

You should include the information that you will be away from home in your PIP2, this should be taken into account if a face to face assessment is require, but will not considered in regard to when a Decision is made.
