Hi. Just got the letter to change from dla to pip.
Have been on higher dla for almost 20 yrs. , so any evidence on this is from then when I applied and had a home medical done , it says they will look at dla claim? if they still have it to look at.
I think I read somewhere that ant medical evidence submitted with form for pip should be less than two yrs old??
I did change to esa in 2013, ( put in support group without a medical) I sent in 40 + pages of medical evidence going back many years to 1985, for that, showing my. Severe and worsening conditions. Will they look at this evidence? Or should I submit it all again were relevant, even though I only a bit of it is in the last two years? Thanks

Don't assume that the DWP will source any evidence for your PIP claim, even from your ESA award, you need to include anything that you think is relevant and integrate it into your responses on the form.

Not having up to date evidence will be a problem but it does not mean your claim will fail. Old evidence can still be used if you can show that it is still relevant to your conditions and limitations as they are now, this will depend on the conditions and whether they are ones that it is reasonable to assume would not have changed since the reports were written or that they would have only deteriorated since then.

Have you spoken to your GP about the possibility of sourcing new evidence?
