DLA to PIP was created by jimginn
Thankyou all at B&W for the very good guides for help with the 56 page book! i filled in as suggested and finally got results yesteday, std help and full mobility.
I am 1 point short of enhansed help, and looking through the decision letter, i noticed a few things i mentioned at F2F not noted so i am wondering if its worth a mandatory review application.
I did your test and got maximum on both but it looks like DWP have ignored a few points.

Congratulations on the award that you have received.

I can't comment on whether you should request an MR or not, can you reasonably see whether you can score the extra points that you need? Yo may need to score 2 points rather than the one that you are missing.

Be aware that an MR will review your claim in detail, whilst it is unlikely that points will be removed, it is not impossible so you need to take this into account in making your decision.

The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.

Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;

"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"

than their opinions

"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.

When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.

Hi from a very happy member!
I thought long and hard over asking for an MR, i applied for a copy of the face to face and talked to a reasonable human being at the time, she said "what are you quering" so i laid out the three points in question. She anoted these down and said a copy of f2f will be posted out.
Well it arrived after 2 weeks and i filled in the MR request from your forms and sent it off recorded yesterday.
LOW & BEHOLD todays post had a new decision letter saying i had been reassessed at enhanced for both! the DM said i am awarded till march 2021!! thank you all and especially Gorden for the brilliant guides and advice.
Regards
Jim
