I wonder if you could advise me please about question 3 cooking and preparing food at waist height I am unable to use a perching stool due to a spinal cord tumour damage & resulting balance problems & also degenerative disc @l4/5 & S1 and chronic pain syndrome which includes my hands and fingers infact all over body ..would being in my wheelchair count as waist height as in the description? I do not cook or prepare any meals myself and have not for 12 years .

I think that that the DWP will say that you could do food preparation on your lap with a tray and cutting board, however, you should be able to argue that you cannot use a hob from your chair due to height and safety issues.
If there are reasons why you could not do the food preparation then you should explain these in detail.
The test is your ability to prepare AND cook a meal, even if you can do the former, if you cannot do the latter then you cannot complete the task.
The DWP may argue that you can complete the task by using a microwave, again if this would be an issue then you should explain in detail.
Remember they can also argue that you could use suitable aids, there a list of these in the PIP Claim guide.
