Harrington & Fluctuating Conditions was created by evaness
Hi All,

Been off the boards a wee while now due to extra bad times. Good to see so many new members - all the more people to fight back- but at the same time very sad to see so many having such terrible experiences. Thanks to all the Mods for still being there - Hope you are looking after yourselves.

I would be grateful if anyone knows when Harrington is due to report on the "fluctuating conditions" and "pain and fatigue" part of his review.

I know various charities for MS, ME etc put in their responses in April but don't know if Harrington has reported yet and I just missed it or if there is any info on when this report is to be published? If so, will it have an immediate effect on the descriptors?

Just got the dreaded phone call and awaiting form to fill in. I have severe FMS and M.E. but think it is a complete farce to be assessed before Harrington is due to make his reccomendations on these conditions.

Thanks to anyone who can advise.

I am pretty sure that Harrington's second report is not due until the beginning of next year, he's currently running an open consultation. There's an article in the Benefits News section on what is going on.

The WCA changes introduced in late March, inlcude extra criteria for fluctuating illnesses, so you should have a look at the latest guides in the Members area.
