Hi B,

The NI Credits have nothing to do with when you may be reassessed.

These reassessments are carried out in line with the prognosis,(recommended length of award) that is given with any particular award.

e.g. A WRAG award may have a 2 year prognosis, but as the claimant is entitled to CB ESA payments only, payment will cease after 365 days.

After this time the claimant will still have a live assessment of (LCW) WRAG left for a further 12 months, in this period the claimant will only receive NI Credit.

2 to 3 months before the 2 year award is due to end the claimant will be sent a new ESA50, and so the process repeats itself.

How often will I be reviewed

If you happened to placed into The SG at one of these future reassessments, payment of CB ESA would be reinstated.

You must keep a continuous assessment without any breaks of (LCW) WRAG though, to have a chance of having your CB ESA reinstated if you are placed into The SG.

Further, if your medical conditions deteriorate, or you suffer from different medical conditions to such an extent that you feel that you then qualify for The SG, you could request a Supersession/Review of your WRAG award.

Again, if you are then placed into The SG as a result of this Supersession/Review, payment of CB ESA would be reinstated.
