I've had my PIP assessment today,so relived that it's over.Could someone please advise me as to whether the health professional that carries out the assessment advises as to the length of award or is that left to the DWP decision maker,
Many thanks

It's a medical decision, so the time to reassessment will be recommended by the assessor, it's an area that I would be surprised to see overridden by the DM.

It's normally a couple of days but could be a week or more if it is audited, this would be at random and not because there is something wrong with it.

I telephoned the DWP to request a copy of the PIP assessment 17 days after my assessment,I was informed that the DWP had not received it to date and that as soon as they get it they will forward it on to me.I'm rather concerned as I havent heard anything yet.

It's unusual, you can try contacting the Assessment Provider!
