MR, can I send photos? was created by lindat
We are planning to send photos for a few errors made by DM. Example that I don't use aids for medication, no points awarded. On PIP form and discussed with HP that I have had an alarmed dossett box for years that husband fills for me on Sundays. no accidental overdosesI since we were given it by occupational therapist. Is it okay to send photos of it please? Plus haven't been able to cook for years due to pain but also because I forget what I am doing. We have listened to the tape of assessment and she asked how I get cereal? I told her I hug and pour cereal and milk as I cannot tip and pour due to extreme increased pain. I either eat perched on stool or if coccyx pain too bad to sit I hug bowl to side and hang onto walls/ furniture to get the 3 metres to sofa. We wondered if photos of how I hug and pour and hug to carry might clarify things or is that a daft idea? If they had just done home assessment that we begged for so many misassumptions wouldn't have happened. Oh and says I do not use aids for memory yet told about dictaphone from Occupational health being replaced by Amazon Alexa, Google assistant and we have post it notes everywhere. Photos of them, or waste of time maybe. Sorry struggling with foggy brain to explain I have foggy brain sigh. Thank you. Linda

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It's perfectly OK for you to send photos if you think it will help but I would also go back through your form to make sure you have explained the problems you have with the PIP activities, for example; using a dosette box will not score you the point in Managing Treatments, explaining why you need to use it should.

Thank you Gordon, we did explain very clearly on form and to HP, clearly hear it on our copy of tape. I would have accepted it if they just given point for having and needing an aid to safely manage medication and ignored husband having to fill it because of reduced feeling in finger tips because of permanent neurological damage due to years of low b12. But dismissing cognitive and memory issues because I do not have 'input' or aids is bizarre and incorrect... To put it politely. Sorry off tangent.
Thank you Gordon
