Hi we are completing PIP review for my son, and notice the section saying to confirm any phone numbers, he lost his old mobile and got a new one a year ago, haven't updated. Also has a landline he doesnt really use. The mobile he just keeps in his house and we are the only ones that text him, our daily texts could be supporting evidence, but concerned if confirmed the new number they might treat as unnotified change of circumstances? So thinking should just not mention it. Has anyone heard of phone numbers being treated this way?

Hi Scotdavid

A change of telephone number is not a change in circumstances, but it's up to you whether or not you want the DWP to have the number.
