ESA. No payment but paying National Insurance was created by debslosjoe
Applied for ESA for my husband but he hasn't paid enough NI contributions as he's been disabled for many years. He was turned down but told he had to send fit notes (not sure how long for??) So that his ni is paid.
Dud a benefit calculator which Saud we aren't entitled to Universal Credit.
Do you get any other benefit or discount for council tax if you get these NZi contributions paid??
We both get enhanced PIP and I get contributions based ESA as I worked for many years.
Any advice would help.

I have assumed from your post that you are in receipt of CB ESA and in the support group. Means tested benefits are usually based on the household income. Your CB ESA is not a means tested benefit but will be taken into account when your husband applies for any means tested benefit such as UC and CTRS.
You need to contact a Welfare Rights Organisation in your area who can take all your information into account, the paid NI contributions help towards State Pension.
As you are in receipt of PIP your husband could claim CA if :
1) Your husband spends at least 35 hours a week caring for you,
2) You receive a qualifying benefit; DLA care middle or high, AA, PIP daily living, constant attendance allowance, armed forces independence payment
3) Age of 16 or over
4)| Not earning over £128 per week
5) Not subject to immigration control

You say that you did a benefit calculation which stated that your husband was not entitled to claim UC but did it say what other benefits your husband maybe able to claim. You can check by putting your information into one of the online benefit calculators, I usually use Turn2us.

this just pays the carer's NI if they earn/have income above the £128 limit but aren't paying their own NI. It was ages before I got told about this little known benefit but get it now. Though working age I am not job-seeking due to several caring roles. Peace of mind about my state pension. A GP or other health/social worker can certify your need for the 20 hours care. It is quite a short easy application form which you can print off; do not delay if this is the one for him as they will not backdate it far.

~ aged 16 or over

The person you’re looking after must get one of the following:

Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply. I'm baffled by all the criteria for these benefits.
I will definitely look into this.
We care for each other but neither of us claim.carers or have outside carers as we thought this would go against our pip awards.
I don't know where to look to get a welfare person to help me find anything out.
