My wife's has the decision about her Pip award, they have decided to give her enhanced care and enhanced mobility. This was the decision we were looking for however, I feel I have not awarded her enough points she should have had 10 more for mobility six more for care.
Initially I thought of appealing against decision, however I now feel it is better to let things be, the award is for 3 years. My thinking is when she is reassessed to put more emphasis where she did not score any points it was my wife's social worker who filled in the form as I am not really capable of filling it in and my wife can no longer fill in forms as complicated as pip, my wife only claimed Pip because a psychiatric social worker explain to her that she would fill in the form for her.
I realise if you appeal a decision you can lose points, that is why I am thinking it is better to leave things as they are because if she did had more points we would still be on the same amount of benefit, but on the other hand and if I explain where I feel we should have more points it would make making the claim next time easier.
We still have not received the doctor's assessment report so we don't know what she wrote about my wife.
I'm guessing I'm asking is it better to leave as it is and put a stronger claim in next time.
Yours spasm
Thanks in advance for all comments.
And thank you to everybody who puts this site together to make claiming pip in a more understandable way.

Hi spasm
That is really terrific news, well done and congratulations.
It will make no difference to your award if you got extra points as you have been awarded enhanced for both components. If you appeal the decision you do run the risk of being awarded a lower component or even loosing it.
We have come across on the forum members going through the same dilemma as yourself, who have decided the extra stress is not worth it.
What you can do is go through the assessors report and highlight any inaccuracies for when you next get PIP review form.
Absolutely delighted to hear that you have been awarded your enhanced PIP award.
I am tagging my reply so that the back office also get to read your encouraging post even though you may be disappointed, it is still good news.
