Hi Gary thanks for responding ... LL26 replied to my original post and at the end said have a think and let us know - which I did in the next two posts on the same thread ?
Sorry maybe I misunderstood my original question was what will happen as I have been out just three times to appts in last 18 months etc and very anxious that DWP will state you’ve been out so therefore lost your PIP so it was some help in should I have explained in my form about going out etc ?. Community law filled my form in over the phone and when I eventually received a copy here’s very little explanation - it has already been sent to DWP via them

Gary sorry I probably confused you - I made an opening post 6 days ago worrying about my form which has already been sent off by COmmunity law etc and the fact that I had been out only 3 times in 18 months for appts and extreme anxiety that DWP will think if ive been out 3 times I dont need the mobility part of PIP ... LL26 responded to that original post and at the end said "let us know what you think" which I then replied to in two further posts which were published but I didnt receive any feedback from a MOD / LL26 - so just wanted really someone to cast their eye over what I had put really in response to LL26 reply to me - many thanks for your help

Dear peanut, this may not help with your claim issues, but I just want to tell you that mental illness is real illness and there is no more need to be ashamed of these symptoms than there would be to be ashamed of say diabetes or a broken leg. Has your husband registered as your carer with the local Carers' Association? [this is not a government thing and will have no link with your claim]. He might get some much needed support in being your carer, though it varies from place to place as much of it depends on volunteers. I go to an art group run by a gentleman whose partner has severe long term mental illness. I find it a big help in staying calm to deal with my husband's mental ups and downs. We also got a cheque recently for the extra costs of lockdown.
Best wishes,
Denby

Hi peanut,
Thanks for responding. I apologise for not having responded sooner. What I wanted you to do is to think how you managed (or not) to complete journeys etc I wasn't sure how to answer your initial query as I really didn't have all the facts. However what you have written in your posts is the heartfelt story of the problems you have completing journeys. Perhaps I confused you with my request, but what you have said in response is amazing. I know writing what you did must have caused some soul searching. But it is brilliant! Your words come across so eloquently. You have summed up your problems so well. You might want to tweak what you say ever so slightly to send it to DWP, (edit all the bits asking us questions ) but otherwise just copy and paste what you have written in your posts and send it to DWP.
Please do not be ashamed. There is nothing to he ashamed of for being ill, or having mental health problems. These are real issues, and just as debilitating as back ache or breathing difficulties. PIP is a very negative process, it focuses on the negatives. I suspect that from a very young age your mum would have said, 'we're going out, make your your hair is tidy and your shoes are clean....'This sort of ethos was probably drummed in since you were small! Additionally, it is bad enough being disabled, let alone having to confront all your difficulties and quantify them on a page in order to fill out a PIP form. Sometimes of course you may think you manage to cope, perhaps by some long winded manoeuvre to compensate for your problems. Writing a PIP form brings all these negatives to the fore and just isn't how disabled people think. So it is very confronting and difficult. So don't worry, don't feel ashamed and you go girl! Send that letter in!
I hope this helps!
