While I remember!
They (DWP) do a yearly ‘earnings check’. I used to send them a copy of my P60 (tax office) and work out how many hours I had done over the course of the year to give them an ‘average’ number of weekly hours. It is best to keep everything SIMPLE. Just jot it in your diary so you have an ongoing tally x
