UC Mandatory Reconsideration Notice was created by Sherry
Dear All
I posted this yesterday but I can't find it on here so am retyping it, in shorter version.
My UC mandatory reconsideration was accepted and I have been now acknowledged as LCW and LCWRA from 2/2/02. Thanks for your web guides, which enabled me to gather my evidence and raise the MR.
However, I have 2 issues:
1. My fit notes start from 14/12/20. However, due to me pressing 'fit for work' on 28 Jan 21 by mistake and then correcting it to 'unfit for work' on 2/2/21, they have applied a 'relevant period' and are refusing to pay arrears from 14/12/20. They insist I do not meet the criteria for special circumstances and will only pay me from 29/5/21 (as my UC is paid on the 29th of each month). I do not think it is fair to penalise me for 5 and a half months over a legitimate and minor mistake.
2. My MR Notice letter was dated 1 Oct 21. However, they only uploaded it to my UC journal at 3.51pm last Friday (22 Oct 21) which does NOT give me 1 month to appeal, rather 9 days.
I am now really stressed as I feel in a huge rush to get Citizens Advice to support me with a response.
I would be incredibly grateful for your guidance.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello Sherry,
I am sorry that you did not get the quick reply to your post you could really have done with given the situation. I have however just replied to your previous post, which I hopes helps you a little.
