New style ESA and work coach interview was created by Peacock1
Hello
Does anyone know if it is normal to have an interview with a work coach when you are in the support group? This is to agree a claimant commitment.

Hi Peacock1

Yes it is normal, is it a face to face interview or telephone?

The claimant commitment is normally developed through the universal credit interview with your 'work coach'.

Almost one in ten Universal Credit claims are being closed down because of a failure to accept a claimant commitment; either due to a failure to book or take part in an interview or a failure to accept the commitment at the interview.

You will not be expected to search for work or be available for work if, because of a disability or health condition, you have a 'limited capability for work'.
