Big decision on MR, advice please? was created by MAC
Hi,
I have just received my PIP review decision, I didnt have to attend an assessment, it was all based on my evidence provided along with my form. The good news is my award didn't change, though some of my circumstances have. Previously I was on standard mobility category, this time I moved up in points but still standard. I also got an EDL award to.
Thing is my head is saying accept the assessment and move on, my heart on the other hand isn't. See in the summary it was stated I didnt recieve certain points in the mobility section as I didnt provided specific proof, this proof they mentioned is actually just being finalised after months of assessments and is being sent to me in the next few days along with some other supporting evidence. Im not sure weather to ask for an MR on this basis and have spoken with my support team with no final decision.
When reading through the MR and tribunal literature on here in the members area one of the things that worries me is how many times it says my award can be reduced if I lose the MR, is this a common thing, does it happen often? Can I request to have the MR based specifically on the single segment in question where I am providing new evidence or is it the whole form that is re-evaluated, also does anyone know the success rates of an MR at the moment? I wish this new information was ready when I had to have my form back, its causing me stress due to the niggling fact that I have the evidence arriving that may change my award in the right way.
Thanks for reading

Hi MAC
You can tell them you are satisfied with one bit of your award and only want them to look at one section. However, that doesn't mean they won't look at the whole award.
I have only ever known two people to have their awards reduced when challenged and these were very unusual cases. The majority of people find there is no change to their award, though 37% are successful.
