PIP Award Review was created by Darren Yates
I have received PIP for 6 Years, and an award review letter was sent out and returned by the 1 June 2021 deadline.

I’ve heard nothing so I phoned them today to explain my Mobility Car runs out in March 2022 so wanted to chase up my forms. I did send so much evidence, and just heard nothing.

After the usual 30 minute hold, I spoke to an advisor who agreed it had been a long time, and put me through to a Case Manager. He just said you’re now awaiting an assessment so be patient, you can extend your mobility car for three months.

I asked if it was someone coming out and they said it could, or might even be over the phone. Is it the same? Also, now the evidence is more than six months old, will they want new evidence? What a joke, eh!

If I don’t get the award, do you know from your expertise if would I keep my car while the appeal and (let’s hope not) tribunal goes through. Also, would I still receive payments?

Thanks everyone, and so hope you enjoyed your well-earned break.

Darren.

Hi Fibrodaz

That is a very long time, so I hope that you hear about an assessment soon. I know it's a drag, but if you can face it keep ringing. If you actually lost your award, you will probably be able to keep your car while you go through an MR (Mandatory Reconsideration) - but you won't be able to if you have to go through the appeal stage.

The evidence you sent 6 months ago will be accepted.
